Pair Discord

The Rust bot can be paired with discord, allow you to see what is happening in game an communicate with in game players.

Pairing with a Discord Channel


1. Add the Rust Wingman Discord bot to your discord server bu clicking the following link (you will need to be a admin to add the bot).

2. Once the discord bot is on the server create a new channel with any name you want.


3. Then in game type the command !pairdiscord or go to the bots page and click pair with discord.

This will give you a command that looks like the following !pairoxbotdiscord 42cbd251-65bc-482c-6cda-bedc39d5def8


4. Take the command from above and paste it into the discord channel you create, this will now pair the bot with this channel and will start output anything from in game.

It will also allow you to send commands from discord.






Channel Types

You can also pair different types of channels to the bot.

To pair a different channel take the command from above and added the channel type to the end.

e.g. !pairoxbotdiscord 42cbd251-65bc-482c-6cda-bedc39d5def8 alert


Channel Type

Description


Channel

This is the default channel type where all in game message will be posted to the channel, and messages and commands can be sent to in game.


Alert

Any alerts that the bot sends e.g. smart alarm triggers or player deaths will be sent in this channel as well as the normal channel, allowing you to mute the main channel but still get raid warnings.


Switch

This will give a list of all smart switches paired with the bot and their current status, it will also allow you to turn the switch on and off.


Team

This will show the current players in the team, their current grid and status.
